Hi, I need SMTP on my Wserver2003+IIS6.0. I installed SMTP-components, but I can't see SMTP in IIS. I can't restart server becourse there is some serious staff running. I can see that SMTP is running in services, but it dosn't delivery mails. What TODO? Where I can find tutorials about creating FTP-server in IIS6.0

    a) SMTP SMTP Does Not Appear in the IIS Manager http://support.microsoft.com/?id=555030 If the mails are not being send out, checkout where it 'stuck'. \inetpub\mailroot\ is it in queue folder, badmail or etc Check event log for more clues too. use this to test XFOR: How to Test Outbound Mail Flow With a File in the Pickup Folder http://support.microsoft.com/?id=297700 Ensure your smtp host able to query dns server using either tcp/udp port 53. b) FTP HOW TO: Set Up an FTP Server in Windows Server 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/?id=323384 HOW TO: Limit Access to a FTP Site in Windows Server 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/?id=816525

Thanks for your help. SMTP send mail if I put it to pickup-folder. But when I tried send mail via aspx page I get "Could not access 'CDO.Message' object." I tryed to get SMTP-tree in IIS by regsvr32.exe.... way, but it did not help. And I can't reinstall IIS becourse my companys site's and customers site's are running on it. SHIT!

    a) Post the full CDO error msgs here. b) Do you have MS Exchange install in the machine as well, if yes, SMTP will be manage in EM. not IIS MMC.

Here! I was wondering, what I have to put that SmtpServer? Is localhost ok? No I do not have MS Exchange. The server rejected one or more recipient addresses. It is pretty obvious that your smtp is rejecting the mail relay and the exception was handled properly. The server response was: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for u0200738@mail.ramk.fi Try HOW TO: Configure a Remote Domain for an IIS 5.0 SMTP Mail Relay Server in Windows 2000 http://support.microsoft.com/?id=310336 or you could configure local smtp to access all mail from local address.
