My company have been casually removing TLS1.0 and TLS1.1 from our backend servers over the last year or so but we have a few more to finish off. Mid March 2020 is approaching so time is tight and we host quite a few sites. TLS1.2 will be present on all our backend servers. Come Mid March will customers still be able to connect to the websites we host if TLS1.0 and TLS 1.1 are still running keeping in mind that TLS1.2 is enabled? Thanks mcneilpa

    yes

as long as the client and server share a common cipher and protocol they can connect.

Thank you for taking time to reply to my query. Peace of mind but will pursue with removing TLS 1.0 and 1.1 in the meantime. mcneilpa

    Hi mcneilpa,

Some old client only support TLS 1.0 1.1 by default. So some tls handshakes from them would fail. It is recommended to maintain TLS1.1 for best practise.
