This may be an Apache question more then an IIS but just in case I figure I would ask here as I am reaching out everywhere after exhausting my research avenues.
Attempting to discover a solution where Apache Reverse Proxy passes client certificate to IIS. Due to TLS I know IIS wants to directly authenticate with the client browser. With Apache/Tomcat I can achieve this with mod_proxy/AJP I am hoping to discover
a solution just like that only for Apache/IIS instead.

According to your description, it seems that you want to use Apache Reverse Proxy passes client certificate to IIS. So it is obvious that IIS is the target server ,so it has no need to make change in iis. I suggest that you could post this thread to Apache
Here is the link,I hope it could help you.

I was hoping to see if anyone else discovered a solution similar to mine, I have found several forum post asking the very same question going back to 2011, with no answer available. I have posted on apache related forums I figure I would post here as well
just in case.
