    Hi,

I have two sites:1. Dealer site 2. Business site on the same port.

Under normal conditions, Dealer site and its app pool will be in started state. Business site and its app pool will be in stopped state.

When the server is rebooted, the Dealer  site and it's app pool are getting stopped and Business site and its app pool are getting started automatically. Any idea why this is happening? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Raj

    Hi Raj,

You could try to set attribute of 'serverAutoStart' on the site node.

Run below command to set property to false:

Set-WebConfigurationProperty -pspath 'MACHINE/WEBROOT/APPHOST' -filter "system.applicationHost/sites/site[@name='test2']" -name "serverAutoStart" -value "False"

    OR

Set-ItemProperty "IIS:\Sites\Default Web Site" serverAutoStart False

You could also change this using IIS manger to go to he configuration editor.

You could also set Start Mode of app pool is to "OnDemand". "Preload Enabled" is set to False on the site.

    Regards,

    Jalpa.
