IIS 10.0 has a problem accessing a folder if the queryCaseSensitiveInfo flag is set to enabled.

IIS will list directory content (via Directory Browsing), but will report error 404 when trying to serve a file from that folder.

The problem can be resolved by setting this flag (queryCaseSensitiveInfo ) to disabled.

    How was the problem discovered

On my dev machine I use a bash script / grunt script to build my website (in Ubuntu / Windows Subsystem for Linux). The script creates new directories, in which it stores images.

The described problem stared to manifest itself after the Windows update which contained build 17093. Before this build directories created in Linux had this option disabled by default. This was changed in build 17093 - from now on all new directories will have this option enabled by default (see Per-directory case sensitivity and WSL).
