I have a web site on a windows 2012 server
The website is one of 5 sites.
The site is set to work with ports 80 & 443
When I access the site from the IIS manager _ manager website -> browse or directly from the IE.
I am prompted to enter user name and password. I enter them and everything works.
When I access the same site from a remote computer, I am not prompted for a user name & password and I get a 403 access denied
message. I tried with IE & Chrome and use incognito option too.
Authentication is set to Basic with HTTP 401 Challenge.
I have tried changing to other authentication types but it did not work
Any idea ???

403 access denied
That error message does not match IIS behavior,
So you should dig deeper into the response to see who sent it. Telerik Fiddler should be your friend now.

Add site or link in your browser intranet or internet sites and test it.
