    hi

    Today

I applied the latest 4.7 .Net framework update which again
broke the IIS web front end. I did manage to look in the
event view and found a number of Event 2268 errors:

Could not load ISAPI FILTERS FOR SITE DEFAULT WEB SITE.

This issue occurs when I try and patch with window updated the application falls over so then I revert and it works then.

    Filter Values:

    C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_filter.dll

    C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\aspnet_filter.dll

    C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_filter.dll

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Mark,

I think maybe the .net framework update replace the aspnet filter with a new one and it also set the wrong physical path with double slash. You could check whether the path has been changed to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\\aspnet_filter.dll. If the path has been changed, you could just remove one slash from the path.

In addition, you could try to turn on or off the enable 32-bit application in application pool advanced setting.

This link also provide the document about how to fix 2268 issue:
