I have installed a SSL certificate on IIS 8.5 on Win 2012 R2. It works for
www.somedomain.com and somedomain.com in IE and Chrom but not in Firefox. Is there a fix?

Does it not try to redirect in FireFox or is an error returned when it does? Your description doesn't provide enough information to help yet.

Could you provide the URL rewrite rule? To ensure the somdoamin.com could be rewritten to
www.somedomain.com, you have to promise 2 thing. First, you need to ensure the URL rewrite rule just works fine and the browser cache has been cleaned. It is said that the firefox could probably load the content from
browser cache. Secondly, you may need to ensure the SSL handshake could just works fine in firefox, if the SSL handshake break down, the rewrite will fail as well. Also you could enable the failed request tracing to track the process in IIS pipeline.
