While using the windows explorer to open the FTP site on Windows 7/2008/2012, found that the file's modification time do not match the file's actual modification time,  difference between 8 hours, but if using the third party ftp software, the file's modification time is correct.
Also if using windows explorer to open the FTP site on windows xp/2003, the file's modification time is correct, too.

    What's the problem?

    Thanks.

I wrote about it while I was still at Microsoft,

    https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/asiatech/2009/10/12/timestamp-difference-for-ftp-directory-browsing/

The reason behind it is pretty simple if you check the technical details. Of course, to verify if you exactly hit this, you can capture network packets.
