    I read Rovstar's tuning IIS doc and knew I had to post!

    We have a 2007 Community Server on IIS6 32 bit Svr 2003.

    100 GB, SQLSVR 2005, 1 CPU, 4GB RAM (VMWare 5.1)

    It was Bot attacked the other day and we also had to move it off a bad RAID.  Since then its been sick..

    system.nullreferenceexception the code crash IIS6 about every 3/3:20 hrs.

    I cannot access the code, so I need a workaround.

    Logn story short;

    Were running Telligent forums, what should these two screens look like?

    Can I block bots with urlscan 3.1?  Would someone kindly post a syntax example?

    Does toggling the aspnet.config about ignoring null exceptions agood thing to do?

    My deepest thx!

    If you want to stop any bot behaviour then first you will need to find a pattern in that behaviour.

    Is it coming from 1 or a few IPs, from 1 or a few user-agents or hitting a certain page.

    It sounds like it might be hitting a certain page and that is invalid.

    URLscan can block ceratin problem characters in the URL
