The log file you've shared seems to be the WebPI install log.

Can you share the error that you get when running the DNN site?

Hi there, sorry about that, once I click on the url to go to the DNN site, it opens the default web browser and then...this message after a while.... The connection has timed out The server at www.localhost.com is taking too long to respond. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Please... is there anyone out there who can assisst me with this overly frustrating problem... I have been trying to get past this stage for over a week and no solution yet... Its driving absolutely crazy..  I'm sure there is someone out there who knows the answer... but i 'm statring to feel that because i'm new and asking what might be a relatively simple question no-one is interested... perhaps a more challenging question is needed.

    Hi,

Look at Kris's guide for Testing using hosts file http://www.it-notebook.org/iis/article/hosts_file_host_headers.htm .

If you find ::1 in the hosts file put a # ::1 this is localhost IPV6.

Then test using localhost and your web site.

The Server error your getting for World Wide Web  locahost @ dot com is correct and is not responding.

Look at Kris's guide to Host Headers http://www.it-notebook.org/iis/article/understanding_host_headers.htm

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction... I actually ended up in the hosts doc removing the # in the line where ::1   localhost was Saved it and all was good.

    Once again appreciate your assisstance.
