I'm not uber savvy with IIS7, so I'm hoping someone can help me out there. I have an ASP.NET 4.0 app running on IIS7. I am able to view the site when I use the browse link from within IIS, but not when I try and access it externally by a URL.
I am running IIS7 on Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit). I have already done the aspnet_regiis -i in command line, and it successfully installed. I restarted my site. The application pool is running the same framework. The application pool was running when
I tried it. It failed on both Integrated and Classic application 4.0 pools.
Any help would be appreciated.

Could you please check what is the substatus code for the 503 error?
503.0 - Service unavailable. The request is sent to an application pool that is currently stopped or that is currently disabled. To resolve this issue, make sure that the destination application pool is started. The event log may give information about why
the application pool is stopped or disabled.
503.2 - Concurrent request limit exceeded. The appConcurrentRequestLimit property is set to a value that is lower than the current number of concurrent requests. IIS 7.0 does not allow more concurrent requests than the value of the appConcurrentRequestLimit
If the information above doesn't help, would you please provide us with more information such as the evert viewer and IIS log entries?
