I'm trying to learn PHP and one of the first things the book wants me to do is install PHP + IIS7 using the web installer. Unfortunately when I click on the link the web installer launches and tells me that "The product you are trying to install is not supported
on your operating system. Click here for more information." Clicking results in no information related to the problem.
I installed IIS7 using the Windows Features dialogs located in the control panel, but that didn't have any effect on the web installer. I'm running 32-bit Windows 7 Professional, and I have administrator rights on my account. I'm not sure where to go from
here. Does anyone have any suggestions or can you point me to a good manual installation tutorial?

Hello,
Look at this information for some help on php http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/246/using-fastcgi-to-host-php-applications-on-iis-7/
Look at this information for IIS features http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/136/install-typical-iis-workloads/
For the installer package use the one that is here http://windows.php.net/download/ get the one marked non thread safe.
Use the manual install and not the Web Platform installer version.
Go to the lined site and download the installer from the PHP net location and run the install.
Post issues & questions to this thread.
