My Web Server experience is limited! I use XP Pro with all SPx and have previously and successfully struggled through Moodle & WordPress installations using IIS Web Server. Now I am trying Web Matrix Gallery installations of these but encounter the below
error on both. I have tried to follow helpful hints and used previous experience without success. Can you provide help.
HTTP Error 404.3 - Not Found

Just to be clear, are you installing within WebMatrix (i.e. using the Site from Gallery option) or using the Web Platform Installer to WebMatrix destination?
It looks like you might be missing the *.php handler mapping for the site. It is a known issue that when installing using WebPI to WebMatrix (rather than in WebMatrix directly) certain configuration settings in applicationHost.config, like the handler mapping, are
not added (this will be fixed in next release). To check if this is the case, if you installed using WebPI, please try installing through WebMatrix to see if this avoids the error.
If you did install in WebMatrix using the Site from Gallery option, could you please post the contents of your applicationHost.config file (%systemdrive%\users\<username>\documents\iisexpress8\config\applicationhost.config), particularly the handlers section?

I notice that there is no *.php handler listed here. Underneath the handler's section, can you check if there is a section with a location path to your application? I would expect to see the handler specification there, like this:
<add name="PHP via FastCGI" path="*.php" verb="*" modules="FastCgiModule" scriptProcessor="C:\Program Files\PHP\php-cgi.exe" resourceType="Either" />
Please check if you do, in fact, have php installed, and if so, whether adding this handler mapping for the site works.

Program PHP previously existed. I pasted your recommendation where indicated. Tested Wordpress and got error
Also appended a paste of your code for Moodle; tested, and got the same new 500.0 error.
Thanks todate. I will try to resolve the 500.0 error; but if any solutions come-to-mind let me know..
