    Hello,

I was just wondering what the difference was between an iisreset command, and a net stop/start w3svc.
Or is this just the same?

    Hi,

The command 'iisreset' is a superset of 'net start/stop w3svc'. 'net start/stop w3svc' just stops the WWW Service which impacts all your Web Site. However 'iisreset' will do lot more apart from this like stopping ans restarting 'FTP Service (ftpsvc), other admin services like SMTP, NNTP etc.

    Thanks,

    Don.
