Installed WebMatrix and installed WordPress through the Webmatrix UI. Whenever I try to run a PHP file within the website (even a simple phpinfo page) I get an HTTP Error 500.0 Internal Server Error. Tried the suggestion here to add a php handler: http://programmingnightmare.blogspot.com/2010/07/webmatrix-php-editor.html Still no luck. A simple .html file (the readme within the wordpress directory - http://localhost:24567/readme.html) is rendered without problem. I have run WebMatrixKaputt but the files it gathered do not indicate an errant setting, at least to me. Anybody else having issues gettingWebMatric to run PHP?

    Hi,

Installing wordpress should have configured PHP. I hope you installed wordpress from WebMatrix UI rather than WPI UI and selcting the option to configure it for WebMatrix. So I assume you are not even able to run wordpress too. Are you ensuring that when you are trying to run a simple PHP page within wordpress folder, Webmatrix is running?

And which OS you are running? Do you have PHP configured on the machine in general? Any instnace of PHP present on the machine?

You can go to registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PHP and see what is the key WebServerType is poitning to. If it is not CGI, try running the setup again from Webmatrix.

    Thanks,

    Don.

Was able to get it running okay after installing another WordPress site using WebMatrix. Thanks, Steve
