Hey, Sorry for the newb question however I am new to the whole website setup thing, we are running multiple internal websites from a single server and I was wondering how you get the name to resolve in DNS. Where DOMAIN is my domain and SERVER is the web server. So I am after something like "intranet.DOMAIN.com", the current websites sit on SERVER/intranet I know in DNS you can setup a foward lookup zone which I have done, however I can only point a single address to an IP address, and with multiple websites running from the one IP I figure there has to be a way around this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Windows 2008 w/IIS7 DC's are 2008 with DNS No Proxy servers, computers are straight out on a CISCO Cheers Alan Lambert

You need to create the necessary DNS records in your domain and then configure the relevant host headers on your IIS web server.

Add an Alias (CNAME) Resource Record to a Zone

Configure a Host Header for a Web Site (IIS 7)
