Hello, I was hoping someone could help me with IIS 7.5 and FTP.Our environment is not typical so I don't know if the default values for FTP sites are what I should use.

We have 12 clients on a pretty beefy server with WIn2K8R2.  We send thousands of files on a constant basis to these sites.  The clients pick up the data and delete as they pick up.  If a user stops picking up for a short time, their sites can grow to hundreds of thousands of files pretty quickly.

This server has crashed twice in the last two days.  Both times the server was just zombied, couldn't ping, nothing from console with mouse/keyboard only hard reboot brought the server back. The only error I see on the server is this:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd408475(WS.10).aspxThe only answer Microsoft has is to enable/disable the NIC.  As this is a production server, with heavy use, I can't rely on something like this as a fix. I've posted the issue in the Windows 2008 R2 forums and I have no responses so far.  i am hoping someone here can help, not only with this issue but proper ftp site settings for this environment.  I lowered max connections per site to 100 hoping that would help.

    Two suggestions

    1) Disable TCP Chimney settings.

    2) If that doesn't work, I would open a case with Microsoft and have them investigate.

Try to tune TCP/IP settings as FTP site settings are not the cause of the error in event log,

In http://support.microsoft.com/kb/970406 Resolution section, follow item 2 and 3 (especially following Server 2008 parts).
