SEO Manager for IIS7 not connecting

I recently installed the SEO manager for IIS 7. When I try to run an analysis using the domain name, it seems to never connect to the site and has one violation claiming of a broken hyperlink. When I try to run it under the internal IP address the report
connects just fine.
Is there some reason why using the domain name is causing this issue? Am I missing some configuration or permissions?

Is it in your local machine? Is your server in an intranet? Or Internet? Do you use a proxy to connect to the internet? Can you access it using a Browser (which one) ?

It is running over the Internet and you can access it in a browser. I have several .NET sites running on the server. Some of them work just fine in the SEO manager, but some of them never seem to connect to the site. Is there perhaps a log I can view
that will report or debug the SEO process?
