I have been trying to migrate two different PHP applications from a 2003 & iis v6 server to a new Server 2008 R2 64bit & iis 7.5 server and it has been a complete nightmare.
I have downloaded PHP 5.3.1 VC9 x86 Non Thread Safe (2009-Nov-19 09:53:39) windows package
Server is a member of a domain, running exchange 2010, hosting a web site with OWA working great.
Both vbulletin in a /forum folder is bust, as is a B2evolution blog. running as another seperate website on the server for the blog.domain name.com
i was able to install mysql 5.1 64 bit no problem, made a backup on the old mysql server, restored to the new one, using same database names & connection credentials as before.
gone over php.ini plenty of times, and i still keep on getting error 500 fastcgi issues.
php test page with <? phpinfo(); ?> outputs everything fine.
anywhere to start?
IIS 7.5 php fastcgi

I would suggest one thing. When you are moving to IIS7.5, please first use PHP5.2.12. Changing too many variables in one go will be hard to debug. When you use PHP5.2.12 you are keeping PHP in tact. If this runs okay, you can try moving to PHP5.3.1. But
please ensure that your application is supported on PHP5.3.1. There has been some significant changes in 5.3 and not all applications are ready for it yet.
