  • FTP Sites associated with Web Sites?

I come from a linux server running Apache...so, bear with me as I try to learn IIS and get used to how things are done.

I'm looking for similar functionality to this:
When I set up a website, I also want to be able to set up an ftp account with access to that site's files with an independent username and password.  From the IIS setup, I don't even see how to define a username and password.  ???

Right now, I'm running all my sites on one IP and using Host headers to direct the url to the proper site.  So, I only have one IP to work with for these ftp accounts for each site.

How can I accomplish something like this?

Accounts are handled through user manager.

I think you can use FTP user isolation for what you are trying to do.

    http://www.bing.com/search?q=ftp+user+isolation&form=QBRE&qs=AS&pq=site%3Asupport.microsoft.com+ftp+user&sp=2&sc=3-35&adlt=strict

If you setup a virtual ftp folder, based on the username, and use the physical path to the web site, when the ftp user logs in it will take them rightinto their folder.
