  • Php on IIS7 working in LOCALHOST, but not on web ?

I recently moved from XP Pro running IIS5.1 to Vista Business running IIS7. I finally got PHP running thru FastCGI locally, when accessing the site using http://localhost , but when I put it live on the internet, I get a Error 500. All this application does, is when the user clicks on a "download" button for a .jpg image, it forces a download dialog box, rather than just displaying the image again.

What can I look to now? I've lowered security levels to low (didn't like doing that) and that didn't help either.

     Thanks

     Charlie

The IIS5.1 website is running at http://www.mcephotos.com and if you look at competition photos, the download button is on the lower right of any gallery.

The IIS7 website (identical) is running at http://www.mcephotos.com:81

    THanks for any help

What is the sub-status code you get for the 500 error ... ? that will give us more clue as to what is going wrong...

you can enable fail request tracing to figure out in more detail... Check http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/266/troubleshooting-failed-requests-using-tracing-in-iis7/ for more details on fail reqest tracing...

SOMEHOW, I backed into the correct settings. It's working now. It was a setting in PHP.ini.

    Thanks for answering.
