I have a free subdomain from a school. Because I don't want to use the school template, I create a folder at my current domain (current domain does not include subdomain). I browse through the internet and only found redirect to new domain or to new page.
I still want to keep the free subdomain; but when a customer type in the subdomain name; I just simply want it to redirect to my folder at my server. Is it possible to do that?

Not really an IIS question but ...
If you have control over the DNS for that free subdomain you can simply point the IP to your server.
Failing that, you can put a meta refresh tag in the header of your free home page.

So i do have to put the meta refresh tag in the header of my free home page; not my paid home page then?
the other IT keeps telling me that i need to put it at my paid host company. please confirm.

Think about it ... if you want free to redirect to paid, then you must put it in free, so when users go to free, they get redirected to paid.
