I've got an issue, I've been beating my head on. At some seeming random time, it looks like an applicatation pool is dieing. The symtopom is that IIS 6.0 serves a completely blnnk page.
<!-- There is nothing here -><HTML><BODY></BODY></HTML>
It seems to only effect sites that are part of that application pool. I tried restarting the application pool, but that didn't help. I then tried restart the stop/start the site. No help there. I also tried doing an IIS reset and that didn't help either.
There are no errors in the event logger. Also check %systemroot%/system32/Logfiles/httperr/htterror.log. Nothing seemed out of order there.

I should also mention some of enviroment info:
Window 2003 Server R2 SP2 - IIS 6.0
Workers and anonymous users are domain accounts. I'm not seeing any authentication errors.
Sites are html only or Classic ASP.

This doesn't seem to be a brower. Checked with a few different browsers.

When it goes wrong do ALL pages in that app pool stop working and do they stop working indefinitely? Does it occur for all machines? What about on the server itself?
What do the IIS logs say is it trying to serve content out? Does the actual size of the file match what is sent?
Do you cache your content?
