I'm running IIS 5.1. I'm finding that when I name a folder with dots like this.that.there it throws a 403.1 Forbidden error when I try to load an image. When I remove the dots it displays ok. How can I allow the folder name and still display the image?
Thanks in advance.

Are you sure you are using an IIS 5.1 box?? because IIS 5.1 doesn't give Sub status codes...
What OS version are you using??
anyways 403.1 means execute access is denied...

Yes, it's version 5.1 running on my local XP Pro Service Pack 2.

I just realized that it's not the dots. The folder is name www.domain.com and it's the .com that is the problem. Still not sure what to do about it, though.

The folder is not a virtual directory but it resided in a virtual directory. It seems like it applies to subfolders then, too. I'd like to avoid renaming it because I'm using the same folder name on our live sites which is running IIS 6. I'm just creating
a local copy. Strange.
