Every night I get the following event in my System event log. There are always two of them, they have the same message but one comes in under Event ID 1120 and the other Event ID 1121. I have tried restarting
the www service, but it doesn't help. I can find no solution anywhere on the net.
The World Wide Web Publishing Service failed to obtain site performance counters from HTTP.SYS.
The reported performance counters do not include counters from HTTP.SYS for this gathering.
The data field contains the error number.

Have you seen this?
Are you on IIS 7?

Thanks for responding. I have seen that Technet document, but I am on IIS 6.0 and it refers to 7.0. Restarting the W3SVC seems to have no effect on the issue.

The error can be caused by HTTP.SYS is out of memory. Please check the HTTPERR.log file and find if there are some connection_refused and connection_abandoned_by_apppool
If there is, add EnableAggressiveMemoryUsage in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HTTP\Parameters and restart
HTTP and IIS services.
Also check the boot.ini file and see if /3GB switch is enabled. Enabling /3GB switch will reduce the available NonPagedPool kernel memory for http.sys. You can remove the switch to test.

That is the most brilliant answer I have seen to this issue. My issue seems to have corrected itself on it's own...it has been over a week since it has occurred. But it might come back at some point and hopefully others with this issue will find your insightful
solution on this website. I appreciate your taking the time to respond. You are awesome!
