Hello all, I am very new to this site and also the wonderful world of IIS. The reason for me even to begin use IIS is to sync ACT! database files using the web. I had someone in my office tell me they knew what they were doing, but really didnt. Some how
they got IIS 6.0 to install or parts of it to install on my Windows Media Center Edition PC. Now after doing some light reading I found out that this should not have even installed. When I right click on "My Computer" and then "Manage" then "Services and Applications"
I have IIS 6.0 Manager. I would like to remove this and then reinstall IIS 5.1 which should work with my OS. I followed just about every direction from ms.support.com on how to remove this but I have had no luck. If anyone has any idea on how to fix this,
I just want to be able to remove IIS 6.0 Manager and then install IIS 5.1 so both PC's can sync. Someone PLEASE HELP!

Could you tell us your version of Windows Media Center? To identify Windows XP Media Center Edition you can follow:
url has Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 Manager for Windows XP, it could be used for administrators to manage IIS 6.0 server from a Windows XP. If you have used this installer for Windows Media Center, you can have an IIS 6 Manager. The original
version of Internet Information Manager on Windows XP could be add through Add/Remove Windows Components in Windows XP in Control Panel.
