I am having trouble logging in to my IIS. I have done so before under the XP platform - I have had to reinstall XP and since then I have not been able to log ion to the system. It asks for a user name and password. I have set up my XP user acc so I
do not have to log in - is that the issue?
I have tried disabling the Anonymous access and and related check boxes - this has not helped - I I also get the error that it is unable to load the VB scripting int he ASP pages. I cannot remember the exact nature of the Issue.
I am set to do some Data Base pages and I cannot get this to work - need help babdly

What do you mean by "log into IIS?" You don't log into IIS, you would log into a site or application. Make sure anonymous is enabled and all other authentication is unchecked. Otherwise, it's your app or your security settings in Windows.

Sorry - I meant that when I try to go into http://localhost via the browser (firefox and IE 7) it asks for a user name and password

Make sure anonymous access is checked and nothing else and you should get past this. At least past Windows asking. Make sure you have a default document defined as well.
