Dumb question i probably know but is it possible to use logparser to query a sql database ?. I know you can update / add to a DB. I just want to be able to connect to and query an existing DB using logparser if at all possible, i've checked the documentation
but cannot see if this is possible. Anybody tried this ?.
In particular i want to connect to and query a postgre sql DB.

Why would you want to query a database with LogParser when you can query a database with the database itself?

Just to get some figures based on quick and dirty sql queries from clients that may not have connection to the DB. I can do what i want using msaccess or sql but just thought it would be nice to see if logparser could do it - it seems to do most kinds of
data sources with ease....
In fact i use it for a lot of reporting stuff, just needed something quick to get at some fiures that was all.

This feature does exist if you use a Custom LogParser Plugin which I wrote. See
forum post in the Advanced topics of the LogParser forums.
