I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue where DEP shuts down one of my worker processes and my application crashes. I have installed Debug Diagnostics 1.1 on the server where this is happening and set up a rule to monitor all IIS processes and services.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to properly configure this utility so that I can have the rule continuously monitoring. I usually have to check to make sure the rule is still active, and reactivate it if it is not. I also don't know for certain if I have
it configured correctly to look for the right exceptions.
Does this utility also have any kind of command line interface so that I can have the scheduler reactivate the rule whenever I want?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Anyone? DEP killed my application again but Debug Diagnostics was not actively monitoring so I couldn't get a memory dump...

You must leave it running until this issue happens to have DebugDiag to help you troubleshooting it.
Event log might contain additional information.

I do keep it running, but there will be times where I'll check on the status of the rule and it says "Completed" instead of "Active". I want the rule to remain "Active" but I don't know how to do that.
Unfortunately, a majority of the KB articles do not explain how to keep a rule active, just how to initially set it up.
Please, any information on how to keep a monitoring rule active would be greatly appreciated!

I think I'll just close this question off...I guess there is no way of keeping a monitoring rule active in Debug Diagnostics...
