Debugging CPU at 100%

I have an W2k3 server running IIS6 and ASP sites and the CPU maxes out to 100% seemingly randomly it will do this once, maybe twice per day. I decided to create few application pools and split the sites among them, that way the next time it happened I'd
could narrow down the possible list of culprits. The problem was that their were now 5 w3wp.exe processes sharing the 100% CPU between them, it also appears that one pool will be on 42%, then drop to 4% then jump back up again to 30% for e.g.
I ran Debug Diag but it never caught anything because the process doesn't crash exactly, just the websites crawl to halt.
How should I troubleshoot this? Has anyone ever seen this behaviour before?

With DebugDiag, create a memory dump then run the analysis report on it.
