I am running the WinXP Pro SP2.
Sometime ago i opened the C://localhost that now changed to display an HTTP404. Then i reinstalled the IIS5 and i had the same problem. I was searching in the IIS window to see any information
and within the root of IIS window exists the "Web Sites" folder. Under this folder there is a "red icon folder" write error. This red icon is a folder named "Default Web Site (Stopped)".
If i change it to "Start" an error window opens and a warning:
Unexpected error 0x8ffe2740 occurred.
In case i use the right botton of the mouse to open The " red icon folder error, named Default Web Site (Stopped)" and click in the file Welcome to Windows XP Server Internet Services.mht it open the browser page C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Welcome to Windows XP
Server Internet Services.mht.and all links in this page go to HTTP 404. What is wrong in all of it?
Could i have a help to solve this question? How can i get my IIS again?
Any help would be highly appreciated.
The folder " red icon folder error, named Default Web Site" contains five folders:
These printer folders, in case i click on it, it opens a window warning: The system cannot find the path specified.
If i click OK, the icon of the folder automatically change to red icons error folders and displays in the right pane a message: there are no items to show in this view.
So, what is wrong with these paths?
