I have set the default document to index.htm when I browse to www.ridgeridersatvclub.ca IE tries to download and save. if I go to www.ridgeridersatvclub.ca/index.htm
it works fine. I have tried adding/removing MIME types. Removing all other default documents, renaming index to default.

Is HTM/HTML still mapped to a handler in IIS or did you remove the MIME type? Are there any default documents other than index.htm in your default documents list? If you download and save, is it the HTML file you would expect or something else? Do you
have any ISAPI filters installed?

All MIME types had been removed, and there was only the Index.htm in the default list. Front page is the only filter installled
The strange thing is that I had done a final text and it still didn't work, so I left it alone. The next afternoon it was working? It appears that there was someting cached maybe? The settings were to expire right away. I had rebooted the server 6 or 8 times during
the testing and that didn't help. Would like to know the root cause just in case it happens again.

Do you have anti-virus software loaded on the server? Any viruses, this seems strange. Any unknown OS services installed?
