IIS 5 & IIS 6
iis 6.0 on win 2003 ---can't browse the localhost site

Hi Every Body ,
i just install win 2003 server R2 in my machine with iis 6.0.
after that i try to open http://localhost
but i get the following error :
Please try this site again later. If you still experience the problem, try contacting the Web site administrator.
If you are the Web site administrator and feel you have received this message in error, please see "Enabling and Disabling Dynamic Content" in IIS Help.
Any one can help me to solve it Please

Well did you follow what it suggested? I don't know but maybe you should do that........
Make a basic (html) default page too.

The message is pretty self-explainatory:
Make a simple page named default.htm and place it in the "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot" assuming you installed IIS with all the default procedures...
FYI: However, you do have a default document in your IIS settings currently that is named
iisstart.htm ... and that is precisely the page you have mentioned in your post :)

thank u both .the problem was solved when i create default.html web page and put it to c:\inetpub\wwwroot
