I'm having a problem with some new web servers I've added to my server farm. Each of the boxes runs 3 websites on the same IP but different port numbers. The other servers in my farm work fine when you access them by typing ipaddress:portnumber in a browser,
but the new boxes give the Bad Request (Invalid Hostname) error. All the servers are set up exactly the same and don't use host headers. Does anybody have any ideas?

When you set up new servers and set the IP/Port combination, did the websites start correctly?
Did you get a chance to look at event logs for any possible errors related to binding?
And review httperr.log too.

There's nothing coming up in the event log relating to binding and I've searched the hard drive but there is no httperr.log file. The sites display fine on port 80 (with seperate IP's), just not on seperate ports on the same IP.

you sure the binding of each site is correct to the ip and port?
iisweb.vbs shows the same request with other server ?
