I cannot get the IIS SMTP server to accept messages. When running SMTPDIAG I receive the following error:
452 4.3.1 Out of Memory
I have 3GB of free space on my hard drive and I have followed the steps in the following KB article
This was not helpful.
The SYSTEM account also has full rights to every mail folder

I cannot get the IIS SMTP server to accept messages.
Let's start with that. What does it mean, anyway? Errors, log entries, anything you could help us with?

What method are you using to send the message? Have you tried a simple asp form?

I am using outlook to send the email. No I haven't tried to use a form, but when I telnet into the box on port 25 and try to run any commands it kicks me out. I have reinstalled SMTP on the server

Is this just the SMTP server in Server 2003 or is it an Exchnage server? It looks like you're exceeding memory available, have you tired a small email?

Just the SMTP server in Server 2003, no exchange. I do have sharepoint services loaded and that is what this whole thing is for. The sent email is supposed to be placed in the drop folder and then sharepoint picks the message up from there. The appropriate
permissions are set on the drop folder but email never makes it there. I have tried a regular email with no subject or body with no success.
