I have a problem trying to access my asp.net application deployed in Windows 2003 IIS web server.
I have a ASP.NET application deployed on web server. Its set on Basic Authentication.
The web server is in different domain and we get connected to them using VLAN.Now when i try to access the site by remote terming to any of there machine it works like charm. But when i try to access the same site from my machine in VLAN there is actually
the page is loading for long time. But after about 5 mins it gives me general network error. When i tried to debugg my http request i got status 401 intitally ,302 and atlast 200 where i suppose request is authenticated and trying to redirect me to dfault.aspx
page of my Web application. This default.aspx is taking a loads of time and atlast gives general IE network error with any HTTP error code.
This is what i see in Web Sit log:
#Software: Microsoft Internet Information Services 6.0
#Date: 2007-10-12 06:02:46
#Fields: date time s-sitename s-ip cs-method cs-uri-stem cs-uri-query s-port cs-username c-ip cs(User-Agent) sc-status sc-substatus sc-win32-status

This is what i see in the Http debuggers also.
There is no other entry i could find in Http.sys error logs or eventviewer related to this.
Hence the main problem i could see is that after supplying the write credentials and request being authenticated the response from the web server is taking so long and ultimately leading to timeout.
One more thing when i add a simple html page and try to access that from my machine in VLAN it asks for authentication and works comes up on browser. So is my problem specific to ASPX pages or what.
Please help in this matter and help in provide some stuff to look for to solve this problem.
Thanks you in advance

Have you tried a Hello World ASP.NET page?

Yup I tried HelloWorld.aaspx also.
The thing is that when i try to access the page with "<%@ Page Language="VB" %>" tag it redirects me to default.aspx page.Which is actually taking hell of time to load and in end does not even come up on browser. But when you stopped it in between and changed
the url to HelloWorld.aspx and accessed it it comes up on browser. So this means that my session is created and accessible. So i tried to actually do the same for other pages in my App but same problem.By the way i have .NET 2.0 also installed on that machine
also.Could it be a problem?
This is begining to make me feel that there is some problem in my code now.But i couldnt understand that same code used to work a day before and now its not.The response for any other page is too slow actually and ultimately it times out.Is there any setting
in IIS or web server that prevent sending response to a particular size or something like that.
By the way i used to fiddler to actually debug my HTTP request and response but the last request where i am try to load my default.aspx page is taking time again and has no updates.I actually copied the Header generated for that request and tried in in
Wfetch tool and got half of the response as html data for the default page. But everytime i tried that my request either got hanged or used to give only half of html data for my default.aspx page.
I need direction.I have tried what is there in my tiny brain.. :(
