My .NET applications were working fine, and I was able to debug my apps with out problems.
Then, a few days ago, I installed a WAMP suite and seems like it re-configured the IIS.
My PHP sites are working fine, but I get this new error every time I try to debug my .NET web apps.
"unable to start debugging on the web server,........ASP.NET or ATL server......The server does not support debugging of ASP.NET or ATL server applications.........for more information / help , please check online documentation for ASP.NET or ATL server...."
I tried registering the aspnet_isapi.dll with "aspnet_regiis.exe –i" --> doesn't work!
Later I found that the WAMP suite might have installed the IIS Lockdown tool and tried changing the urlscan.ini file, by adding
DEBUG(case sensitive) into the [allowverbs] section. --> this doesn't work either.
I've VS 2003 and VS 2005, .NET 1.0, .NET 1.1 and .NET 2.0 frameworks on my machine and recently installed, Web-Developer Server Suite, for Windows from
Can anyone think of something else that needs to be fixed? I do not want to uninstall / re- install these huge applications, if possible!
Thanks in advance,
IIS Lockdown tool

Are you able to manually attach to the Aspnet_wp.exe or W3wp.exe process to debug ASP.NET in Visual Studio? And any other information logged in the IIS log?
Based on my research, the problem does look like Urlscan issue. Although the DEBUG verb is added to [AllowVerbs] in Urlscan.ini, you may still need to verify if this verb is allowed by the aspnet_isapi.dll. In IIS Manager, goes to Home Directory -> Configuration...
-> find .aspx application extension and check whether it is limit to certain verbs.
