I have got a weired problem.
When a client tries to access a non-existant file on one of our managed servers, he'll get a 500 Internal error instead a 404.
1. Permissions on C:\WINDOWS\Help\iisHelp\common are fine.
2. Existing *.ASP are running fine.
3. It happens only on *.ASP files, *.ASPX / *.PHP files will generate 404 errors as expected.
4. It happens on all websits on that specific server, not only that website.
5. I'm clueless ;)
Please advice, good day!

Have you disabled "Check if file exists" for the .asp application mapping?
If i remembers correctly, this status code will be returned if you have disabled this and don't have code to handle missing files.
