    Hi,

i hope you can help me it is the first time that i do something with logparser.

My problem is, that I have to get logs from the NTbackup tool, the Syntax for this Event is:

logparser -stats:off "SELECT TimeGenerated, EventID, SourceName, Strings FROM Application WHERE SourceName = 'NTBackup' AND EventID = '8001' OR EventID = '8019' ORDER BY TimeGenerated"

The results are ok, but how can i make an output and give it to users in the network???

    Thanks for Help

You need to specify an output format and file name.
I'd suggest reading the help file that was installed in the same directory as LogParser.exe. It has lots of details on how to do this.

    Hi,

As usual Daniels advice is spot on, check the manual! Also see the Repository.

If you want a cheap way to export the results add a > C:\TheResults.txt to the command line query, eg:

logparser -stats:off "SELECT TimeGenerated, EventID, SourceName, Strings FROM Application WHERE SourceName = 'NTBackup' AND EventID = '8001' OR EventID = '8019' ORDER BY TimeGenerated" > C:\TheResults.txt

.Net or even a VBScript is a richer option tho
