We have a support license with Veritas (System Recovery used to be own by Symantec) and I am working with them as well on this but they don't know much about IIS or WebDav.
So let me see if i can give the best description mind you I am not a savvy with IIS or WebDav. Because Win2012R2 is on our C drive and space is limited we have another storage drive "D" and in there we created a Site with virtual drive (i think this is correct)
pointing to D.
so it looks something like D:\Storage\USER_DIR_HERE so an example would be
and the username John would have full control of Storage and John (ideally once i get the permissions down I will try and fine tune the per user)
On the client side the user would then mount the path as Z drive, then in System Recovery we choose Z as a backup destination.
On a side question, how do access each site by IP address rather than the hostname or site name?
