  • Re: IISReset Issues after July 2018 Patches

    Jul 17, 2018 08:00 AM|Mike YMP|LINK

after uninstalling the updates KB4338815 and KB4338830 for the different Windows Versions, the 80% of the servers, the iisreset start working as it should, but still a large pool of servers are affected even uninstalling/rollback the update.

We have already opened a case with Microsoft so we can find a solution, i'll keep you posted.

Lucky that this was installed/detected on the test environment and not productive :)

Microsoft has already updated the update page with the known error:

When an administrator tries to stop the World Wide Web Publishing Service (W3SVC), the W3SVC remains in a "stopping" state, but cannot fully stop or be restarted.

Currently, there is no workaround for this issue.

Microsoft is working on a resolution and estimates a solution will be available mid-July.
