    Hi All,

Our website hosted in 4 servers. all are windows and application hosted in IIS. Due to security concerns, soon we are planning to remove port 80 from server. We don't want to lose our customers. If they bookmarked our http://website then it wil not be available after we removing Port 80. What will be the solution for this?

Once we removed Port 80, If someone trying to open http://website , then i should automatically redirect to https://website.

    Kindly help on this

    Hi Santhoshb2w,

If you wanna redirect http to https. Then you always require a website to receive http request from 80 port. You can remove http binding for your website and then create a dedicated empty website to handle http request. You just have to create a website with 80 port and null host name. Then create redirect rule for that website. Then all incoming http request will be delivered to this app pool and redirect to your https website.

If you don't wanna to allow 80 port on your servers at all, you may need front-end CDN to handle request first.

    Best Regads,
