I deleted the user who was configured in pool authentication without knowing that he had this function, now my page has stopped working, but I am not knowing how to change this user, I created this same user, but the problem persists with authentication persists .

    best regards,
    Wesley Santos

    Hi Wesley Santos,

Could you share the detailed error message snapshot?

to set the user for application pool you could refer below steps:

1)open iis, under the server name select application pools. in the middle pane, you can see the list of application pool name.

2)select your application pool for which you want to change the user.

3)and select advance settings from the action pane.

4)Select the Identity list item and click the ellipsis (the button with the three dots).

    5)The following dialog appears:

6)Select the Built-in account button, and then select the identity type ApplicationPoolIdentity from the combo box.

if you want to set the custom user that clicks the custom account radio button and set the user.

    7)click ok.

after doing that set the permission to the site folder:

    • Open Windows Explorer

    • Select a file or directory.

    • Right-click the file and select Properties

    • Select the Security tab

    • Click the Edit button and then Add button

    • Click the Locations button and make sure that you select your computer.

    • Enter IIS AppPool\DefaultAppPool in the Enter the object names to select: text box.

    • Click the Check Names button and click OK.

after doing all the settings restart iis server and site.
