  • configure arr proxy for outbound sites

    i have two applications.

    app1: machine1.company.com/website1

    app2: machine2.company.com/website2

there is a link in app1>website1 which goes to app2>website2 in a new browser tab. Currently there is security problem as app2 is rejecting some javascript because it think its coming from app1 which is not the same_origin.

what am trying to do is to setup proxy on app1 IIS server so that any outbound(link, href) request to app2 will have the same url as app1..

so for the user after clicking on the link in app1, behind the scenes it will still go to app2 but the url should show app1.. that way for the browser when sending information to the app2 thinks that its same origin.

    Hi ora1001,

According to your description ,I think that you need to use outbound rule. Outbound rule could change the content of url from target server to proxy server.

Here is  the link ,I hope it could help you.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/iis/extensions/url-rewrite-module/creating-outbound-rules-for-url-rewrite-module
