Direct traffic to multiple tomcat instances

We are currently using a Jakarta isapi connector to route traffic from iis to distributed back-end tomcat instances. We are having issues with some larger files being truncated and believe it is because of the connector because the documents are full length
when delivered directly via iis or directly from tomcat.
HttpPlatformHandler looks like something we can use to replace the jakarta connector with, but I don't see in the documentation if it can be configured to route traffic to different tomcat instances depending on url the way we can with the jakarta connector.
For example, given the two urls:
myapp.com/app/content -> TomcatContentContainer
myapp.com/app/search -> TomcatSearchContainer
Basically, any request to /app/content is directed to a tomcat instance called TomcatContentContainer, etc. Is this possible with HttpPlatformHandler?
