We are running a third party app, vNext, that we moved to a new server. Since the move; some, but not all files will fail to down load with a "File Not Found" error.
The vendor says it should be logged by IIS, but I can't find a error log that show why the file "is not found". I've verified the name of the file, as well as the location and permission, but with two files in the same location on ewill download and the
So, where do I find or turn on a level of logging that will give me an actual error?

What kind of 404 error did you get? did you see the 404 error in IIS log? If there is no log entry, you should check whether the IIS binding and DNS log entry is configured correctly. However, if there is a log entry. Please go to IIS manager->site level->error
page->detailed error. Then you should check whether the physical path in detailed error do have a existed file. Thirdly, if you mean that your MVC application not working, please go to turn windows features on or off/ add role and feature and ensure the IIS
feature static content/application development feature like asp.net has been installed.
