I have two workgroup(non-domain) servers and I would like to map the virtual directory to share folder so that I can use UNC path for my IIS website. I create the same user in both two servers and set it to IIS connect as specific user. However, when I access
the shared folder virtual directory, it still return 500.19 error. How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.

The best way to fix this issue is enable the process monitor and fix then it will tell us where should we grant the NTFS permission.
In addition, if it is possible, you could try to build the ADDS environment. I can set the Virtual directory for UNC path easily with domain account while it have enough permission to access both server.
