I recently opened a support ticket with Microsoft Product Support Services for an issue with slow WordPress sites. The only thing that they told us was that the slowness arises somewhere in the FastCGIModule, which is very non-specific. At that point we
were told that Microsoft cannot support or further troubleshoot the FastCGIModule.
Who do I go to for support on this?

You should do some analysis on your own and digest what Microsoft replied to you.
IIS uses FastCGI to call PHP, so it involves IIS itself, the FastCGI module, and PHP's FastCGI host (php-cgi.exe). And Microsoft Product Support Services can only help you on IIS itself, and a little bit of the FastCGI module. If the performance issue (like
high CPU usage, and crashes) is caused by PHP FastCGI host, then you are out of luck, and have to resort to the PHP community due to the nature of such an open source project.
Usually the solution is to upgrade to latest PHP version (such as 7.x).

The error message show that an error/ crash occur when The fast-cgi module is executing the wordpress site. So the error could probably caused by either IIS fast-cgi configuration or wordpress web application itself. Enable the 32-bit application in IIS
application pool advanced setting to rule out whether the 32-bit a application casued the error. Then you may need to check whether you have enabled the wordpress and PHP fast-cgi correctly:
