    I don't know if this is the correct place for this or not but we use expression encoder 4 pro sp2 to publish a live stream to our website.  We have an html 5 link but its just for apple devices.  I don't know enough about html to know what to change this to, to make it work more universally with everything. Can anyone help as to what to change this to?  can I simply replace format=m3u8-appl to format=mp3?  We don't want html5 to be just apple devices since all modern browsers support html5, we also have a Silverlight link but we would like to get away from that.

    Here is the content of the html5 file

    <html>
        <head>
            <title>Live Iowa House of Representatives Audio</title>
        </head>
        <body>
            <h1>Live Iowa House of Representatives Audio</h1>

            <audio src="/ChamberAudio/IowaHouseLive.isml/manifest(format=m3u8-aapl).m3u8"
                   autoplay="true"
                   controls="true">Live</audio>
        </body>
    </html>

    Hi ventura84,

    m3u8 and mp3 work the different. M3U8 should be looks like a reference format and mp3 is an audio format.

    I'm afraid you could not just replace m3u8-appl to format=mp3 directly in smooth streaming. Maybe consult anyone else who is more professional with HTML5 could provide the solution to enable m3u8 work like mp3.

    Besides, Here provide the instruction about how to configure smooth streaming:
